A great exhibit dedicated to Mario Merz’s painting: around 20 large-size works coming from important European museums and private collections, some of which have never been shown before.
The exhibit’s title is Corteo della pittura. Pageantry of painting and in Rudi Fuchs’s idea it is meant to be a great parade of archaic animals, symbols and myths that highlight the artist’s existential kind of research.
The exhibit opens on May 12 and is on until September 26.
Fondazione Merz publishes the catalogue, with texts by Rudi Fuchs.
