Praeter Naturam

PAV - Parco d'Arte Vivente (Living Art Park, TN) features the first exhibit of American artist Brandon Ballengée in an Italian museum. The title means “beyond nature” and refers to those living organisms, especially amphibious species, that have suffered deformations in their tissues, articulations and skeleton – according to the artist’s studies – often due to the presence of parasites and polluting agents. Ballengée, also a green activist, wants to highlight the most urgent aspects of global climate changes with reference to the influence of man on environment and respect for biodiversity. PAV exhibits the outcome of his eco-action: videos, photos, installations of his research that has been carried out, since 1996, in England, California, Canada and, for this occasion, in Piedmont along the basin of the river Po.

The exhibit opens on July 6 at 19.00hrs and is on until September 26.
